Town Hall meeting for the National Eye Institute's Audacious Goals Initiative. This is a "moon shot" program working to solve problems many people have thought impossible, and this year we have some clinically meaningful results. We saw reports of two patients treated with manufactured retinal pigment epithelium, created from stem cells and transplanted to treat their severe age-related macular degeneration.
